Finishing off a week of beauty related blog posts with my lip care routine!
When it comes to skin care everyone tends to focus on the face, eyes, and wrinkles etc. We seem to forget that our lips also need some TLC in order to stay hydrated.
I suffered from intense dry and chapped lips. It was so bad that I would not even attempt to wear lipstick. For the longest time I wouldn’t even go near matte liquid lipsticks because my lips would instantly dry out and become flaky and cracked. It was awful!! During the winter of 2012 I had enough and was determined to find a cure for my chronic dry lips. At the time I was living in Michigan and walked by a local beauty shop, Lily Grace Cosmetics, in downtown Ann Arbor. I asked the sales associate what she recommends for dry lips and she raved about the Sara Happ Lip Scrub. She mentioned the same way you use a scrub for your face, you need to use a scrub for your lips to get rid of the dry skin. She instructed I use the scrub 2-3 times a week followed by an extremely hydrating lip serum.
I picked up the brown sugar lip scrub and since then it has been a staple in my beauty cabinet. This scrub is absolutely amazing and I swear I have not dealt with chapped lips. My current lip care combo is the Sara Happ Lip Scrub followed by Fresh Sugar Lip Serum Advance Therapy. These two products are my holy grails and cure to my dry chapped lips!
