A visit to New Orleans is not complete without venturing out to the charming Garden District. The streets are line with pretty trees and beautiful historic mansions. The easiest way to get to this area is by taking the St. Charles streetcar, strolling down Magazine St, or a quick uber. I put together a self guided walking tour for my sister and I to explore the Garden District. Feel free to see the Map of the walking tour. We started our tour at Lafayette Cemetery and ended at Commander’s Palace. Thanks to google and wiki I was able to pull information on these historic mansions and put together this tour from my sister. I found this guide really helpful in putting together our route.

New Orleans Travel Diary | Itinerary
I’ve been wanting to travel to New Orleans for about a solid year. My sister and I scored an amazing deal on tickets and booked a 3 day trip. We flew in early Wednesday morning and left Saturday at 6am, therefore we had three full days to explore! Today I’m sharing our daily itinerary for each day, however tomorrow I will have a full post on all the places we ate at!! Trust me we ate a lot therefore it deserves its own post!!
New Orleans Travel Diary | Daily Looks
Happy Monday!! I’m back from a few days of traveling in New Orleans with my sister. We had such a blast exploring this beautiful city. My sister and I have been travel buddies for nearly a decade. Since she is expecting we wanted to go on last sister trip before the baby comes. We dubbed this our Sister Moon trip and the goal of the trip was to just eat our way through NOLA. I have so much to share over the next couple days about where we stayed, ate, and the sites we visited.
