I have finally gotten around to decorating my apartment – only took 4 months!
When I moved in my kitchen and bedroom were all set however my living room needed all the help. All I had was a wicker chair from pier 1 for the longest time – it was sad! In my brain I had a vision and I wasn’t going to settle until I found what I wanted and was within my budget.
The first item I purchased was my couch followed by the coffee table. Today I’m sharing how I styled my coffee table tray!
I searched pretty much everywhere for a square white tray – Home Goods, West Elm, Joss & Main – you name it I searched it. I finally found this beautiful Zuma tray at Crate & Barrel. My coffee table is a two part table – I will post all about it soon – therefore the tray fits perfectly on the second half of the mini table.
Now for decoration – I wanted to the tray to be decorates tastefully and not super crowded with random stuff. I wanted a few key items; vase for flowers, appetizer plates, dish for matches, candy jar, and decorative items. I’m obsessed with the gold pineapple jar! I keep my favorite Trader Joe gummies in there – which need to be refilled basically every other day! My sister gave me the turquoise pomegranate which pairs perfectly with my fruit theme and color scheme! I always have appetizer plates out on my coffee table – I can’t stand crumbs – and since I’m always eating on the couch it’s a good idea to have a few plates nearby.
