Happy Friday! This weeks list includes an easier way to travel, my favorite products for an in home facial, my obsession with sheet masks, a new dessert shop in Baltimore, and my hunt for the perfect pink tray!
Global Entry
I am extremely fortunate to travel frequently. I LOVE traveling – that is the reason I started this blog! However I dislike the process of going to the airport, security lines, customs, and all that nonsense. About three years ago my little brother applied for TSA PreCheck and Global Entry. He got approved and raved about how much easier travel was. The rest of my family instantly signed up. What is this magical program?? In a nutshell, you sign up here via Trusted Traveler Programs. I opted for Global Entry which is expedited travel into the United States and includes TSA PreCheck. It only costs $100 and is valid for 5 years. I seriously recommend it to anyone that travels frequently, especially internationally, as it makes traveling a little bit easier and decreases the time you have to wait in line!
Korean Sheet Masks
Ever since I’ve been back from Seoul (see my travel guide and food guide) I’ve been obsessed with sheet masks. I bought an insane amount in Korea since they are super cheap! Sheet masks are available pretty much everywhere from Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom, and even Target! I use one once a week to hydrate my skin.
At Home Facial
The past two weeks have been super busy for me and I was in desperate need of a facial before my cousin’s wedding this weekend. However since I was working 9-10 hour days I didn’t really have the time! My sister was in the same situation so I decided to google at home facials. I found this amazing article laying out all the steps for an at home mini-facial. Thankfully I had majority of the products in my skincare arsenal and I was able to give myself and my sister the perfect at home facial to get us wedding ready! A quick run through of the products I used for each step:
Step 1 // Remove Makeup – The Caudalie Make-Up Removing Cleansing Oil is gentle on the skin and removes everything including all my mascara!
Step 2 // Cleanse – I’ve been using the Philosophy Purity Cleanser for years and it’s my go to cleanser! I swear by it.
Step 3 // Steam – Just boil some hot water and pour it into a pot, cover your head with a towel, and try to steam for about 2 minutes!
Step 4 // Exfoliate – I first used the Boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel and then the Caudalie Gentle Buffing Cream along with my Clarisonic to exfoliate my skin.
Step 5 // Apply Clay Mask – The Umbrian Clay Pore Purifying Mask from Fresh is absolutely amazing and instantly purify the skin.
Step 6 // Toner – I personally love rose toners. My two favorites are Fresh Rose Floral Toner and Mario Badescu Facial Spray.
Step 7 // Apply Sheet Mask – I’m currently love the Tony Moly Collagen Sheet Mask I brought back from Sephora.
Step 8 // Treat – I have an at home extraction kit that I use to remove blackheads and whiteheads without scaring my skin. Be very gentle and don’t get carried away with this step!
Step 9 // Eye Cream – I recently received a sample of this Fresh eye cream and I’m totally loving it!
Step 10 // Moisturize – Hydrate! Hydrate! Hydrate! For this step I use my absolute favorite product – Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask. I leave it on overnight to hydrate my skin and the result is plump, dewy, even tone skin in the morning!
Sacre Sucre Eclairs
There is a new dessert shop in town and they have the yummiest eclairs and delicious treats!! Sacre Sucre is located in Fells Point off Fleet Street, this delectable shop specializes in macarons, eclairs, marshmallows and cakes! You can find me here all summer long.
Pink Trays
I’m having a blush moment. I’ve been on the hunt for blush/pink trays for my apartment. I found this cute small round one from target and this larger round one. I finally found a square tray from CB2 here. I was excited to find so many options for less than $20!
I’m off to Toronto this weekend for my cousin’s wedding, be sure to follow along on Instagram for all the festivities!!
Have a lovely weekend!
