Eyebrows on fleek has always been my motto! That lingo may be outdated but that won’t stop me from obsessing over the perfect eyebrows. Today I’m sharing my secrets for the perfect brows!
I am super attentive to my eyebrows, it’s definitely the Persian in me! I’ve always been blessed with thick eyebrows and don’t have to do much to them on a daily basis. It took me a while to find the right method for my brows (plucking, threading, waxing) and how to enhance my brows (shadow, pencil, gel) but I finally nailed it.
I get my eyebrows threaded by Nilou at Nilou Spa in Arlington, Virginia. Yes, I drive all the way from Baltimore to Arlington once a month to get my eyebrows done. Nilou is worth the drive because she is AMAZING!! I’ve been going to her for about 4 years and she is absolutely wonderful. I’ve referred several friends to her and everyone is obsessed with her. I promise she will bring your brows to life!!
As for the products I use for my eyebrows, I am obsessed with Anastasia Beverly Hills and Tweezerman. I have been using both these brands since college and truly love them! In between threading I use the Tweezerman tweezers and scissors to maintain my brows. I just pluck stray hairs and make sure to keep my unibrow away, I never mess with the shape, I leave the shaping for my girl Nilou. Since I have thick brows I use the Anastasia Bro Wiz in Ebony to mostly define my brows and fill them in a bit. After filling my brows in I gently apply a coat of the clear brow gel which helps keep my brows in place. The brow gel is similar to hair gel for your hair! It keeps every strand of hair in place in order to have the perfect brows all day long!
