I discovered The Ordinary brand a few years ago. I have added a few of the oils, serums, and acids to my skincare routine for the past year. Today I’m sharing the serums I’m using in my skincare routine.
A little background information on The Ordinary, it falls under the DECIEM brand – The Abnormal Beauty Company. As mentioned on the website All DECIEM products, across all brands including The Ordinary, are free of parabens, sulphates, mineral oil, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone, animal oils, coal tar dyes, formaldehyde, mercury, oxybenzone. The Ordinary offers beauty treatments at very affordable price points.
This is one of the first products I tried from The Ordinary brand. The buffet is a serum that targets multiple signs of aging. I incorporated it into my night time skincare routine after cleansing. This serum is a great one stop shop that focuses on signs of aging.
Salicylic Acid is a beta hydroxy acid that exfoliates the skin. It helps exfoliate the inside walls of pores to fight the appearance of blemishes and for better visible skin clarity with continued use. I read a lot about Salicylic Acid and how it is a powerful acne fighting treatment. I will say that I definitely went through a purging period with this product therefore I personally recommend using it as a spot treatment. Additionally incorporated it into your skincare routine slowly. I made the mistake of going all in and had a 10 day purging period and broke out all over my chin and cheeks. Post purging my skin looked amazing, but during that time I had to used lots of SPF and stayed away from make-up.
100% Organic Cold-Pressed Moroccan Argan Oil
I use Moroccan Oil for just about everything, my face, skin, and hair. During the winter months I mix 2-3 drops of moroccan oil with my body moisturizer for extra hydration because my skin is so dry. I also use 2 drops in my hair and it really improves the texture of my hair. I love how inexpensive the 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Moroccan Argan Oil from the Ordinary is – you can’t beat the $6.80 price!!
100% Organic Cold-Pressed Marula Oil
I picked this up to compare to my Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Face Oil. For just under $10 this product is definitely a keeper. I use Marula Oil on my face after an at home facial routine to lock in moisture. Sadly Sephora doesn’t carry the Marula oil online, however since I travel to Toronto often to visit family I always pick up a bottle while I’m there. You can also order it directly from The Ordinary site here or get it from Amazon.
