Finally made it back in NYC post-vaccine!!
Prior to the pandemic I would go to NYC at least once every other month to visit my brother. It’s such an easy weekend trip from DC – just hop on the Amtrak train and in 4 hours you are in the concrete jungle. Ashley and I were so excited to plan a spring trip to NYC. We stayed at Mint House at 70 Pine in the Financial District. The hotel is conveniently located near the metro and a Dunkin’ Donuts – which is essential for us while traveling!
I had so much fun being back in the city and visiting my favorite spots such as SoHo, Central Park, DUMBO and new spots Caffe Dante, Brooklyn Botanic Garden to see the blossoms, and enjoy all the delicious pizza at Prince Street Pizza.
NYC was definitely not as busy as it normally would be on a beautiful spring weekend in May – I’m not complaining. It was nice to be in the city and I can’t wait for the city to be fully opened and back to regular programming.
