Modest Hijab Friendly Swimwear

Soaking up the last few weeks of summer, poolside!! Sharing my favorite modest swimwear look that is fashionable and functional.

These days I’m all about relaxing poolside on the weekend. It has been a busy summer and I haven’t had the chance to travel much after my trip to South Korea. I really wanted to go on a beach vacation, to Bermuda, but sadly I just didn’t have time this summer. Therefore I have been going to the pool at my apartment building any chance I get. I did a recent blog post sharing my favorite pool day gear and received a ton of positive feedback and questions about Coolibar.

I absolutely LOVE Coolibar swimwear! I used to dread going to a pool or beach because I always felt awkward in what I was wearing. I had a hard time as a teenager finding the right modest swimwear that was fashionable and functional therefore I would avoid the pool all together. Ever since discovering Coolibar I have a new found confidence and get excited to go to the pool, even though I can barely swim!

For water activities I prefer to wear this long sleeve bathing suit paired with these skirt leggings for added coverage. I love the bathing suit since it stays in place and doesn’t ride up. Additionally with the skirt leggings I sized down to an XS in order for it to stay in place and not ride down. The small fit well however once you go in the water the material weighs down a little, therefore I went with an XS which stretched out a bit after wearing it a few times. When I’m lounging by the pool I love wearing my Jersey scarf since it’s easy to wrap and requires no pins. When I’m in the water I wear this latex swim turban that stays securely in place!
