My 9-5 Makeup Routine

My everyday 9-5 makeup routine for work is pretty simple and takes less than ten minutes!

I work full-time in hospital administration therefore looking put together is a must as I’m always in meetings and seeing patients. For my 9-5 look I go for a minimalist makeup look to maintain a professional look without being over done. Today I’m sharing the products that I have been using consistently for many years and are a staple to my makeup bag. Every once in a while I will switch up my lip color however I always stick to wearing a matte liquid lipstick because the color lasts all day and I don’t have to fuss with reapplying.

My everyday make-up routine includes these amazing products:

1. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer (in Bisque)

I have raved about this tinted moisturizer several times on my blog. I’ve been using it since senior year of college and got my mom and sister hooked on it! I follow my normal morning skincare routine and then apply my tinted moisturizer. A little bit of this product goes a long way. It provides medium coverage and provides a subtle glow for radiant skin. I apply the tinted moisturizer with a small face brush.

2. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz (in Ebony) + Brow Gel

Thankfully I’m blessed with thick eyebrows. For the times that they need some extra attention I turn to my absolute favorite eyebrow pencil, Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in shade ebony. This is another product that I have been using since college and never stray away from. I don’t use it every single day but when I have a little more time on my hands I do fill in my brows with it. I use the Brow Gel every single day to brush out my eyebrows. It’s basically hair gel for your eyebrows!

3. Bobbi Brown Under Eye Corrector (in Bisque)

Recently I switched from NARS radiant creamy concealer in ginger to Bobbi Brown under eye corrector and concealer. For my everyday look I only apply the under eye corrector to conceal my dark circles. I skip the concealer unless my dark circles are awful and I need some extra brightening. I’ve been loving the brighter look I get with the under eye corrector for an everyday work look.

4. Bobbi Brown Eye Opening Mascara

I switch up my mascara often and I’m currently love this Bobbi Brown Eye Opening Mascara. It really enhances my lashes and makes them thicker and longer in a natural way. I get asked multiple times if I have lash extensions – the answer is no! I have super sensitive eyes and I know if I try lash extensions my eyes will not cooperate therefore I’m going to stick to curling my lashes and applying two coats of this amazing mascara!

5. Nars Blush (in Orgasm) applied with Yachiyo Brush #27

I’m a blush girl! I’ve tried experimenting with bronzer and I always end up looking like I have dirt spots on my face. I’ve been using this cult favorite, Nars Blush in Orgasm, as part of my everyday makeup routine. It is the perfect shade to give you a hint of color year round.

6. theBalm Mary-Lou Highlighter applied with Fan Brush

This is my absolute favorite highlighter – an oldie but a goodie! It’s becoming harder and harder to restock as it’s always sold out! I use this to highlight my cheekbones, bridge of my nose, and under my eyebrows. The highlighter is absolutely amazing. I’ve been using it for over four years and swear by it!

7. Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner (in Hustle or Twice Baked)

I line my lower lash line with a brown eyeliner. It’s my trick for achieving that wide awake look! Some days I will apply actual eyeliner and my go to is liquid liner. I recently picked up Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in brown and Ink Liner in black. I have quickly become obsessed with these liquid liners! The precision of the felt tip is incredible.

8. Stila All Day Liquid Lipstick (in Patina)

I highly recommend a liquid lipstick for the office. I hate reapplying lipstick at work and over the years this Stila All Day Liquid Lipstick has proven to be up to the challenge of lasting throughout an 8 hour work day. It lasts through multiple cups of coffee, bottles of water, lunch, and afternoon snack time. It seriously is hands down my favorite liquid lipstick! Patina is a perfect dusty rose shade that works as a great natural for an everyday 9-5 makeup look for the office.
