Fitness on the Fly

July 27, 2017

I LOVE traveling. It’s the reason behind I started blogging, to be able to share all of my travel adventures with the work  The not so glamorous part of traveling is airports and being in transit for hours. I tend to over plan therefore I constantly arrive early to the airport. For someone who has so much energy I find it extremely boring to sit still at the gate. Thanks to ROAM is changing airport experiences for travelers by offering the first of a kind gym and shower amenities inside the airport terminal. I had the chance to tour the newly opened ROAM Fitness inside Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) a few weeks ago and I’m excited to share it with you!

The Basics

ROAM is located in the D/E terminal past security in BWI. ROAM allows travelers to get a workout in pre-flight or if you have a flight delay and need to kill some time and prefer to break a sweat instead of sitting idly waiting for your flight! ROAM Fitness offers various pricing plans: a day pass for $25, monthly pass for $100, or yearly pass for $350. Each pass includes access to the gym, workout gear rental, and showers. ROAM has an exclusive partnership with Lululemon and allows travelers to rent or purchase gym clothes including Brooks shoes! The gym is open from 5am – 9pm every day.

Workout Equipment

ROAM offers top of the line workout equipment including cardio equipments, stretching space, free weights, medicinal balls, a TRX system, and yoga props. The cardio equipments include two treadmills, one elliptical, one recumbent bike, one spin bike, and a Concept II rower, and a SkillMill. There is a variety of gear to choose from for any kind of workout you are in the mood for!

Amenities

There are four private bathroom and showers with towel service that can be reserved for up to 15 minutes after your workout. All showers are equipped with complimentary MALIN + GOETZ toiletries for all members. They have all the extra amenities you can think of such as hair ties, lotions, shaving cream, hair products and much more. Of coarse the facility is equipped with lockers to store your belongings safely while you workout and/or shower. Each locker includes outlets that allow you to charge any electronic devices. The facility also provides discounted passes to Priority Pass and Lounge Key members. Many travelers purchase a pass just to use the showers after a red eye flight and freshen up before leaving the airport!

ROAM will be opening two more domestic locations by the end of 2017 and hoping to have 20 locations in the next five years, including internationally! Be sure to keep an eye out to see if ROAM is coming near you soon.

For all my Charm City travelers, be sure to checkout ROAM the next time you are traveling through BWI!

Thank you to ROAM Fitness for sponsoring this post.

SoCal Trip Highlights

July 14, 2017

Happy Friday!! Today I’m sharing a round-up of all the things on my recent trip to California. Truth be told we did a lot and went to a lot of cities from LA, Malibu, Ranchos Palos Verdes, Laguna Beach, and Irvine! The main attraction of the trip was my darling friend’s wedding in Malibu. The wedding was absolutely perfect!

Bromo Seltzer Art Tower

June 22, 2017

Baltimore has a lot of fun things to do. I constantly have a running list of places I want to visit, eat, and things to do in Baltimore. One place on my list has been the Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower. The tower has such history and I was always curious to visit the clock tower since the repairs in April. A few weeks my sister and I went to the tower for a tour on Saturday.

Quick Trip to Ann Arbor

June 14, 2017

Ann Arbor-Michigan-Travel Blog-Weekend in Ann Arbor

Over Memorial Day weekend I drove to Ann Arbor with my mama for a quick trip. Although the trip was super short I was able to squeeze in some fun activities. I met up with my bestie who took me to a bunch of new foodie spots, visited the peony garden, and visited my fav childhood store! I’m always blown away with all the new places that pop up in A2 every time I’m back. I really need to go back more often!
