Fall is officially here and there are so many fall activities in the DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia area. One of my favorite, and usually first, fall activity to partake in is Apple Picking! This year I visited Waters Orchard in Germantown, Maryland to pick delicious apples. For the occasion I styled this adorable Kate Spade Apple Toss Jacquard sweater.
Apple picking is a fun activity for folks of all ages. I drag my family every other year to go apple picking somewhere in the DMV area. Every time I go in with the intention of coming home and baking delicious apple treats however I never do and end up snacking on the apples all week!
I usually go apple picking in Maryland. My favorite Orchards include Waters Orchard, Baugher’s Orchard (seen here), Butler’s Orchard (seen here), and Larriland Farms. There is no shortage of delicious apples to be picked while at the orchards. One thing I will recommend is to wear wellies or rain boots while at the orchard. The weather is always unpredictable this time of year – it rained the night before I went to the orchard – therefore everything was muddy. My go to pair of rain boots are my Hunter boots that I’ve had for about five years. They are reliable and get me through all my outdoor activities!
