DC is famous for the Yoshino cherry blossoms surrounding the Tidal Basin. The Kwanzan cherry blossoms bloom a little later than the Yoshinos and are my personal favorite.
DC is in full bloom and the city is full of pretty pink blossoms. I’ve always wanted to go to Hains Point to see the Kwanzan cherry blossoms, which normally bloom about two weeks after the tidal basin cherry blossoms. This year I finally made it out, early in the morning of coarse, to catch these pom pom puffs. I highly recommend biking the loop around Hains Point to catch all the pretty blooms.
