This week’s installment of Lalz Loves includes an interesting article about bloggers, my new Netflix obsession, the travel steamer I swear by, a new book I picked up, and my love for straw bags!
Last summer I became borderline obsessed with straw bags. I have started a small collection now but it all began with the Cult Gaia Ark Bag. Every fashionista under the sun owns it by now and it truly is a classic summer bag. To my surprise it fits a lot of stuff! I opted for the small version since I’m petite and the large seemed rather huge. I’m excited to share that Nordstrom carries the brand and I’m currently crushing on this colorful ark bag and this little round one. I do have a birthday coming up….if anyone wants to send them my way!
I adore Cathy from Poor Little It Girl, she has impeccable style and always find the best deals. Aside from her amazing style, she always keeps it real. I LOVE her recent blog post where she calls out bloggers who enter in loop giveaways and cheat their way to growing their Instagram following. For me blogging has always been a hobby and great creative outlet. However for some it’s their job, their livelihood! Therefore I totally understand how frustrating it is when people cheat the system. I rather follow genuine bloggers who post quality content instead of Insta-famous bloggers who are constantly hosting fake loop giveaways and cheating the system. Just my thought.
Netflix’s Chef’s Table: Pastry
I’ve recently started watching Chef’s Table: Pastry on Netflix and was drooling just at the first episode. As I was craving a delicious dessert from Milk Bar Bakery I came to find out that they just opened a Flagship store at Logan Circle in Washington DC! Road trip to DC this weekend?!
I just got back from South Korea and now I’m packing up for Toronto. I will be traveling for my cousin’s wedding to Toronto next weekend and you bet I will be packing my trusted travel steamer for all the festivities. I’ve had this steamer since grad school and have taken it on every single trip!! I had an incident burning one of my scarves with a hotel iron and vowed never to use one again. I researched and tried many steamers to find the right one perfect for travel. This little guy doesn’t take up too much room and really gets the tough wrinkles out!
That’s What She Said
I recently ordered this inspirational book by Kimothy Joy. The book has countless quotes and wise words from inspirational women. When I lack a little inspiration or I’m just feeling down because of all the worldly drama I turn a page of this inspiration book and read a quote to inspire me. I’ve also been gifting it to my nearest and dearest gal friends! It makes for a perfect gift!
Have a lovely weekend!
