Happy June!! This is my favorite month of the year because it’s my birthday month! Since my birthday is at the end of the month – June 30 to be exact – I believe it is totally acceptable to celebrate the entire month, especially since it’s the last year of my 20s, eeek!
I was inspired by my blogger babes Mary Orton of Memorandum and Blair Eadie of Atlantic-Pacific to start my own series of Lalz Loves. Each week I will be sharing things I’m currently loving from shopping items, restaurants, shops, TV shows, books, events etc. This post will be dedicated to all the random things that I find interesting and want to share with my readers! It will be a short and sweet list of five things that are currently on my radar!
The Best Work Pants – Banana Republic Sloan Fit
As you may have seen on my Instagram story highlights #OOTD, majority of my work pants are from Banana Republic. My favorite style is the Sloan fit which I have been wearing since college! What I love about these pants are that they are mid rise, skinny, tailored ankle length pants. Therefore I can wear them with flats and heels! I have several colors – 3 pairs in just black – and absolutely love them. The only thing to note that they are dry clean only and once I ignore the care instructions and threw them in the wash – bad idea.
Diablo Doughnuts New Location in Federal Hill
I’m a doughnut lover, that is no secret. I force my family to try local doughnuts anywhere we travel. My favorite Baltimore doughnut spot, Diablo Doughnuts, recently moved from Fells Point to Federal Hill. I walked over to the new space last Saturday with my nephew and love the spot! It is super spacious and love the doughnut murals at the entrance. They are currently located at 1035 Light Street in Federal Hill.
Melissa Sandals
I’m always on the hunt for cute yet comfortable travel shoes. I’ve constantly heard Ashley of History in High Heels rave about Melissa sandals and how comfortable they are for traveling. She travels to Italy in the summer and only says good things about these sandals therefore I trusted her and ordered the Soul Slides in pink for my trip to Seoul this week. I can’t even begin to tell you how comfortable these shoes are! From the second I slipped them on I fell in love with them. Given that I recently had bunion surgery I was worried they might rub my feet and bother me, however that was not the case. These sandals didn’t even need any breaking in, they were comfortable straight out of the box!
S’well Bottle
I am fairly regimented to drinking my daily dose of water. When I’m at work I have a tumbler on my desk that fill up about 3-4 times a day and I constantly mason jars of water with lemon around my apartment. However when I travel I’m not getting my required intake and I end up being dehydrated which leads to really bad headaches. Thankfully I have the perfect travel size water bottle from S’well which is 16 ounces and fits in all my travel handbags. As soon as I pass TSA I find the nearest water fountain and fill it up! During flights I ask the stewardess to kindly fill it up for me, they always do! Once I’m at my destination I always refill at hotels and restaurants. I have no shame asking for water when I’m traveling! The best part is the water is kept cold for up to 24 hours!
Baltimore Magazine
I’ve been living in Baltimore for almost 3 years now, time goes by quickly in this charming city! Recently I joined the Baltimore Magazine Ambassador Program which means I will be sharing all the buzz worthy events taking place in Baltimore. Baltimore Magazine is a great resource that serves as a perfect guide for charm city. When I first moved to Baltimore I picked up the magazine to learn where all the trendy restaurants, coffee shops, and events were taking place at. Three years later and I’m thrilled to be an Ambassador to spread my love for this marvelous city and all the wonderful things it has to offer!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a lovely weekend and be sure to check in next Friday fro my weekly Lalz Loves series!
