Baltimore is such a creative and charming city. I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with many local photographers and I’ve compiled a list of all the best spots for photography in the city! Today I’m sharing my favorite spots in each neighborhood that are my go to spots for photography in Charm City!
Baltimore has several neighborhoods – Inner Harbor, Fells Point, Federal Hill, Hampden, Canton, Mount Vernon, Harbor East – to name a few. I have a few favorite spots in each neighborhood.
Federal Hill | American Visionary Museum, Federal Hill Park, Colorful Homes on E Montgomery St, and Little Havana
Fed Hill has several photographic spots! One of my favorite views is from the top of Federal Hill Park where you can get a great panoramic views of the Harbor. In addition right next to the park is American Visionary Art Museum which has beautiful mosaic walls on the outside! This area offers a ton of beautiful row homes with picturesque cobble stone streets that make for really cute street photos, don’t miss the pastel row homes on E Montgomery St. Another favorite place of mine is the colorful walls of Little Havana restaurant!
Inner Harbor | City Hall, Inner Harbor area, Seven Foot Knoll Lighthouse, and Harbor East
Inner Harbor offer lots of downtown vibes. The area in front of city hall has beautiful marble walls and architecture. In addition the area near the aquarium offers picturesque water views. During the warmer months you can see all the yachts and sail boats out which make for some great nautical vibe photos!
Fells Point | Pastel Row Homes on Ann St (between Lancaster and Aliceanna), Pagoda at Patterson Park, Docks behind The Inn at Henderson’s Wharf
Fells Point is my absolute favorite! If it wasn’t for the street parking I would totally live in this area!! Aside form the cute cobblestone roads, Fells Point has a ton of bakeries and coffee shops to explore. I personally love the pastel homes on Ann St and always take snaps every spring and summer when the flowers are blooming. A little outside of Fells Point is Patterson Park which is a lovely green space and features the Pagoda.
Mount Vernon | Washington Monument, and Peabody Library
Mount Vernon is a historic neighborhood and has so much character! Parking is a bit hard in this area but once you manage to find one there are a ton of wonderful spots to photograph! My favorite spot to visit is right in front of Washington Monument as the Magnolia trees are in blossom, it’s pink floral heaven!
North of Baltimore | Graffiti Alley, Sherwood Gardens, Rawlings Conservatory, Murals by Union Ave, and LOVE Murals
A few of my other favorite spots in Baltimore include Graffiti Alley, it’s such a cool edgy place and the colors are always changing! In spring the tulips at Sherwood Garden are absolutely beautiful! Just outside the city is Rawlings Conservatory which is beautiful on the inside and out. Throughout the city you can find Love Murals painted by Michael Own which are so unique to Baltimore.
Hope you enjoy all these spots as much I do! If you have any questions about the location of any of these spots please feel free to ask below!
