Riviera Maya – Day 2
Day two started off with exploring the Tulum Ruins. It is very doable on your own – you don’t need to book a tour. Since we had car we drove to the ruins from our hotel. It was about a 20 minute drive.
The Tulum ruins are unique because it is situated on a cliff facing the Caribbean Sea. It was absolutely stunning!!
Afterward we went to Coba to see the Coba Ruins. The ruins were in a dense forest area. They were nice however they were not as impressive as the Tulum ruins.
For dinner we went to Mediterràneo Restaurant at our resort. We had delicious seafood and went all out at the dessert buffet!
Check back again tomorrow and I will be sharing all the details of my trip this week!
Riviera Maya – Day 1
Riviera Maya
Happy 2014!!! I hope everyone had a fun and safe time celebrating and ringing in the New Year!
My sister and I spent a lovely week vacationing in Mexico over Christmas vacation. We traveled to the Riviera Maya which is south of Cancun for 6 nights. Riviera Maya is the complete opposite of the party scene in Cancun. It is peaceful and extremely relaxing!
We stayed at the Grand Bahia Principe Tulum Resort. The resort was wonderful! It was my first experience at an all inclusive resort and it was fabulous! Now I understand the appeal! Grand Bahia Principe consists of four resorts on its complex – Tulum, Akumal, Coba, and Sian Ka’an. We booked our stay at the Tulum resort however we had access to all the resorts during your stay.
