There’s just something about spring in DC… and wisteria season might be my favorite of them all.
If you’ve been following A Day In The Lalz, you already know I will always chase the blooms—and this time, it led me straight to Georgetown at peak wisteria season.
And naturally… I had to dress the part.
This Tuckernuck set in the Trellis Bloom fabric is what spring outfit dreams are made of. It’s giving soft florals, timeless structure, and just the right amount of statement.
Honestly, if Violet Bridgerton summered in DC, this would be the look.
What I love most:
- A tailored, polished silhouette that still feels feminine
- The Trellis Bloom print that perfectly mirrors the wisteria tones
- Effortless styling (it truly does all the work for you)

Cherry blossoms may get all the attention—but wisteria is the real hidden gem.
The cascading lavender blooms feel romantic, a little more tucked away, and honestly… less chaotic. You’ll find them climbing historic homes, draping over archways, and creating the prettiest unexpected moments around the city.
It’s softer. Slower. And somehow more magical.

If you’re planning your own bloom-chasing moment, here are my favorite updated spots:
- Madison Dr NW (National Mall): Alongside the National Museum of American History and the National Gallery of Art, this stretch is an underrated gem for spotting beautiful blooms.
- Dumbarton Oaks (Georgetown): A must-visit during peak season—but note that they’ve become stricter with photography to help protect the wisteria. Be mindful and enjoy the experience.
- Georgetown Streets: Some of the best finds are unplanned. Walk the side streets, look up, and you’ll spot stunning wisteria draped over historic homes and hidden corners.
- Meadowlark Botanical Gardens (VA): If you’re up for a short drive, Meadowlark offers a more curated and abundant wisteria experience—perfect for a slower, scenic day.
