Beauty Review // Kosas Cosmetics

November 4, 2019

A few months ago I was introduced to KOSAS through Kelsey of Rousalie Rouge Blog. She raved about the 10-Second Liquid Eyeshadow on Instagram and I was very much influenced to try KOSAS out for myself.

KOSAS Cosmetics Beauty Review

KOSAS Cosmetics was kind enough to send over a few of their products for me to try out. I instantly fell in love and proceeded to go to Sephora and purchase more products from the line. This stuff is unbelievable!

I rarely jump to try a new cosmetic brand because I have very sensitive skin and almost always break out. Thankfully KOSAS products are clean and contain beneficial skincare ingredients therefore I safely dived in to testing all the products. I have been using the products for the past month and want to share what I love about of the products.

Tined Face Oil Foundation

This foundation is the perfect “no-makeup” makeup foundation. I normally use Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer on a daily basis and use MAC Pro Longer Nourishing Waterproof Foundation for full on glam makeup look. The KOSAS Tinted Face Oil Foundation gives you a dewey look and makes your face glow. I wear shade 5.5, perfect for medium skin with olive undertones. I apply the foundation after my skincare routine with a foundation brush. I used a beauty blender once to apply the foundation and didn’t like the look, I prefer to use a brush or my hands to apply it.

I was a bit hesitant that the foundation would make me oily throughout the day since I tend to get very oily in my t-zones. However to by surprise it worked well with my skin and my mom event commented my face was radiant – even after a 9 hour work day!

10-Second Liquid Eyeshadow

I AM OBSESSED. I honestly don’t know if I can ever go back to powder eyeshadow! This stuff is incredibly easily to apply and highly pigmented. I applied the shade Fahrenheit at 7am and it lasted until 10pm when I wiped my makeup off – it’s incredible!! I have the shades Fahrenheit, Element, and Globe. I find it easy to apply the color to my eyelid with the wand and blend it using my finger. You can easily use an eyeshadow brush however I felt the color was less pigmented when I used a brush.

Weightless Lip Color Lipstick

I never thought I would be able to find a clean lipstick formula that stays throughout the day. I normally am a matte liquid lipstick kind of gal because the color lasts all day, however matte lipstick tends to dry out the lips throughout the day. The KOSAS lipstick is incredibly hydrating as it contains Jojoba Oil, Rosehip Seed Oil, and Mango Seed Butter. I have the lipstick in Rosewater, Undone, and Fringe. The Rosewater has been my daily go to since it’s a perfect shade of nude pink.

Color & Light: Pressed Powder Blush & Highlighter Duo

The powder blush and highlighter palette is extremely blendable and all the colors come in low and high intensity colors. I have the powder set in Contrachroma High Intensity. The palette provides a golden bronzing powder blush and highlighter for a sun-kissed glow. A little color goes a long way with the high intensity shades.

Color & Light: Crème Cream Blush & Highlighter Duo

I have never used creme blush, for no particular reason, therefore I was excited to test out the Velvet Melon High Intensity and Helios High Intensity creme blush and highlighter duo. I absolutely love the shade Velvet Melon, it’s a beautiful peachy shade. The creme blush can easily be applied with a brush or your fingers. With the high intensity colors a little really goes a long way!

Have you tried KOSAS Cosmetics yet? Right now is a great time to try KOSAS Cosmetics since Sephora is having their Holiday Bonus Event. Currently VIB Rouge members can get 20% off until Monday 11/11 with code HOLIDAYSAVE. I will be stocking up on more shades of the 10-Second Liquid Eyeshadow and the new Wet Lip Oil Gloss!
