Valentine’s Day is all about celebrating your loved ones. Whether you are picking up something for your significant other, family, friends, or treating yourself – these treats are sure to make anyone’s day a little bit sweeter. I’m rounding up my favorite local DC spots to grab delicious Valentine’s themed treats.
Many people opt for flowers for Valentine’s day, which are a great option, however I’m more of a foodie and prefer a dozen cupcakes versus roses. I’m sharing a few of my favorite DC spots to pick up delicious Valentine themed desserts.
Georgetown Cupcake || GC is a DC classic! For Valentine’s Day the bakery has a few yummy pink cupcakes such as Strawberry Cheesecake, Valentine Unicorn, Pink Rose, Strawberry Lava Fudge and much more! For Valentine’s Day you can order the classic size cupcakes or a special Valentine’s Heart Dozen of mini cupcakes for $41. The classic cupcakes are $3.50 each or $19 for 6 or $36 for 12. My tip is to place and order for Pickup online at any Georgetown Cupcake location, that way you can skip the store line and walk in and just pickup your order!! I do it all the time and it makes the whole process a lot easier.
Ladurée || I adore all the delicious french pastries Ladurée offers. With two location in DC, one in Georgetown and one in Union Station, be sure to pick up some delicious macarons in their beautiful packaged seasonal boxes. The Valentine’s Day Gift Box is priced at $28 for 7 macarons and variety of delicious flavors to choose from.
Sugarfina || My favorite candy shop! Sugarfina has a wonderful selection of Valentine themed candy and boxes to choose from. I personally love to gift the 3 piece Candy Bento Box which runs for $24. My favorite candies are the Kiss Me Sugar Lips, You’re Berry Sweet Sassy Strawberries, and You Make Me Melt Ice Cream Cones. Find a location near you here.
Astro Doughnuts || I highlight recommend picking up a dozen delicious donuts for the donut lover in your life from Astro Doughnuts. They have several locations across the DC area and you can order line for pickup in store!!
Ted’s BULLETIN || I personally love the delicious fresh pop tarts that Ted’s Bulletin bakes. Their daily flavors include Strawberry, Brown Sugar & Cinnamon, S’mores, Blueberry Cheesecake and seasonal flavors. The pop tarts are absolutely delicious and a bit unexpected from the traditional chocolate, cupcakes, and cookies. They have several locations across the DC area.
