In October I traveled to Iran for two weeks with my family. As soon as I came back I moved, started a new job and now it’s December! I’m finally getting around to recapping and sharing my amazing trip on the blog today!
When we travel to Iran we generally split our time between Tehran, the capital city, and the North province of Iran where majority of our family lives. My mom’s family is from Amol therefore as soon as we land we drive up to Amol from Tehran to visit the family. We spend a few days seeing the family and just hanging out. Afterwards we made our way to Gilan province where my sister’s in laws are from. We spent time in Rudsar, Sarvelat, and Lahijan. It was my first time visiting all of these beautiful cities and I was blown away with how lush and green everything was. In Lahijan we stumbled upon a beautiful tea plantation as one of the workers was harvesting the tea plants.
Tehran is bustling city and there is so much to do! I’ve checked off many things off my list over the years of traveling to Tehran. This time around I was focused on food! I will have a whole post dedicated to all the delicious food from my trip. A few of the new spots that I visited while in Tehran and absolutely loved was Chai Bar, 30 Tir Street Food, and shopping in Tajrish Bazaar. I love staying in Tehran as there is so much to do!
Check back tomorrow for more posts from my trip!
Wow, Iran seems so much green with such vegetation and colorful fruits. Market are such beautifully designed and clean. Also the art work on the wall is just amazing.
