A Day In The Lalz turned 6 on December 1st! Sharing how I started my blogging journey!
I cannot believe it’s been six years since my first blog post!!
I started my blog in the beginning of December 2012! I remember the date perfectly because I flew to Honolulu, Hawaii to spend a month in Oahu with my sister. What the heck was I doing in Hawaii for a month you ask?? Well, my sister was doing a one month rotation in Honolulu during her Emergency Medicine residency program and since I was studying for the GRE and applying for grad school, I decided Hawaii was a great place to study and I would be able to keep my sister company. I don’t think my sister took me seriously when I told her I was coming to Hawaii with her. She flew out December 1 and I subsequently showed up on December 3 and stayed until December 31st.
My time in Hawaii was incredible! I explored every bit of Hawaii and loved it. In order to document my daily adventures, my sister suggested I start a blog. After a night of searching and setting things up, A Day In The Lalz was born. The name for my blog is a play off “A Day In The Life”, suggested by my clever sister, and changed for my nickname, Lalz.
Since starting ADITL the blog has been a creative outlet for me to share my love of travel, fashion, beauty, and food. I love connecting with readers and truly appreciate all of the comments, likes, e-mails, and questions you send my way. It’s been a fun six years and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for my little creative corner.
