Hello friends!! Today I’m sharing all the details on my recent girls trip to Charleston! I have so much to share so bare with me because the post is content and photo heavy – but I promise it’s worth it!
|| Where To Stay ||
Vendue Hotel | I highly recommend this hotel for many reasons! The location is perfect, in the french quarter, and the staff is incredible!! Every person went above and beyond and were extremely helpful. They offer several amenities such as complimentary Starbucks coffee and tea in the morning, afternoon art reception with wine & hors d’oeuvre, milk and cookies each evening, and complimentary bicycle rentals. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are fantastic. We were able to fit five girls comfortably in a premier double queen room.
|| Morning Eats ||
Toast | I couldn’t resist ordering the deluxe french toast which is recommended by the New York Times! It is absolutely delicious!!
Callie’s Hot Little Biscuits | Get the dozen sampler and try all the delicious flavors! It’s more of a pick up and go kind of place, not much seating except a few high top chairs. We ubered in the morning to Callie’s to pick up some biscuits and went back to the hotel to grab coffee and eat the biscuits.
High Cotton | Such a lovely place to dine for brunch!! I had the crab cake eggs benedict and it was divine. The restaurant was super sweet and provided us with complimentary creme brulee since it was my sister’s bachelorette weekend.
Blossom |We grabbed lunch here on the first day, it was super convenient because it’s right next to the Vendue. I was on a crab cake binge and had crab cakes for lunch – seriously it’s the best in Charleston!
Eli’s Table | They are known for their Shrimp & Grits and it is amazing!!!
Fleet Landing | Our hotel concierge recommended lunch here, I recommend getting a reservation in advance. They have an outdoor patio by the water and a variety of delicious seafood.
Xiao Bao Biscuit | This was hands down the best meal we had in Charleston! It wasn’t much of a wait (no reservations) and the food was delicious!! I couldn’t stop eating!
Sugar Bakeshop | We biked here for and had delicious cupcakes, cookies, and iced coffee. It’s such a cute little bakery!
Peace Pie | This place is amazing!! They have a ton of flavors of delicious ice cream sandwiches with pie filling. The key lime and pecan pie were my favorites!
Carmella’s |We had a late night sugar craving and stopped by here. The gelato ice cream definitely hit the spot!
Beardcat’s Sweet Shop | This adorable shop is on Sullivan’s Island. Definitely try the red velvet gelato!
Biking | Majority of the hotels in Charleston offer complimentary bike rentals. Biking is definitely the way to get around in Charleston!
Nathaniel Russell House Museum | After out walking tour we biked back to visit the Nathaniel Russell House. Admission is $12 and there is a guide that gives you a tour of the home. It’s extremely fascinating. We didn’t make it to the Aiken-Rhett House – I’m saving that for my next trip!
Sullivan’s Island | If you have the time it’s nice to make it out to the beach at Sullivan’s Island. It’s a short uber ride away (about $13 each way from our hotel) and such a change of pace from the city. We walked along the beach and enjoyed some gelato at Beardcat’s Sweet Shop.
