Sharing my foodie adventures from this past weekend in NYC! The city has an enormous amount of food options therefore every time I’m in town I try to check off a few places on my running list of places to try in NYC.
Maman has been one of the places on the top of my list to visit! They have a couple locations around the city. I went to the SoHo location with my cousin and her fiancee. We had the delicious smoked salmon breakfast sandwiches and the tuna sandwich. In addition we had the famous chocolate chip cookie alongside our lattes! Everything was divine. I instantly was obsessed with the vibe, decor, and friendly staff of the place.
I’ve been to Dominuqe Ansel Bakery in SoHo several times to try to cookie shot and delicious cornets. This time around I had the chance to try the blooming hot chocolate and DKA dessert. As usual it was all delicious! I loved the DKA so much that I bought some as souvenirs to bring back to Baltimore – they lasted one night in my apartment!
I stumbled upon Vivi Bubble Tea on Instagram when I saw a picture of this ridiculously delicious cotton candy bubble tea match float. They have several locations across NYC, however the Allen Street location is the only one that serves this sugary goodness drink! I was truly in sugar heaven while consuming this drink but afterward I regretted every minute of it and didn’t even bother to have dinner! It was such a sugar rush.
After a series of unfortunate events – my cousin dropping her phone – we ended up in the South Street Seaport area near the Brooklyn Bridge. We had dinner at The Paris Cafe, which is one of the oldest pubs in NYC since 1873. I had the fish n chips and it was on point!
I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I was to find a delicious Persian Aash place in NYC!! We stumbled upon Taste of Persia back in December at the Union Square Market (read here) and since then I’ve been dreaming to go back. On Monday the weather was dreadful and my brother and I were really craving some aash (Persian noodle soup). First of all I have to say the owner, Saeed, is the sweetest person EVER! He was beyond kind and super friendly. I’m pretty sure whenever my brother has Persian food cravings he can be found here and Saeed will take care of him with his delicious cuisine!
I would love any recommendations for foodie spots in NYC! I’m always looking for new places to try.
