Back in October when I participated in the Fashion With Compassion event I met the lovely ladies Shyema and Safura of the brand Kotyur. When I saw this skirt walk down the run way I immediately fell in love with it. The skirt reminds me of Carolina Herrera. The ball gown skirt is classy, feminine, and grand!
The skirt is part of the “The Individuality” campaign by Kotyur. The campaign is geared towards helping women feel comfortable enough to bring out their true identity no matter how different it is from society’s cookie cutter “ideal woman”. The brand want woman to embrace that identity, to feel beautiful in it and be able to own a piece of clothing that expresses a part of you all at the same time! Each skirt in this collection represents a woman – each one is created perfectly; each one is unique, impressive and essential; each one is confident, admired and loved. Each in its own way, just as we as humans should be.
Shirt: J. Crew Factory | Skirt: Kotyur c/o | Belt: Anthropologie | Scarf: From Turkey | Shoes: Ralph Lauren (old) | Clutch: BCBG | Bracelets: Ily Couture & BaubleBar (1,2,3) | Ring: BaubleBar
When I received the skirt I knew immediately I want to style it as an ode to Carolina Herrera – classic. I paired to skirt with my current obsession – the J. Crew jeweled oxford – and a classic Anthroplogie beaded belt. It can be worn during any season and all you need is a good twirl!
The outfit is classic!
Scarf: Haute Hijab | Purse: J. Crew | Necklace: BaubleBar | Bracelets: Bauble Bar, BCBG, Michael Kors | Rings: BCBG and BaubleBar | Watch: Michael Kors | Lips: M.A.C. Ruby Woo
I love the look of a sweater with a grand skirt – inspired by this photo. This sweater is my all time favorite hand me down from my sister. Thank you B! It’s so old but for some reason I love it. It’s cozy and goes with just about anything. Gold & red is one of my favorite color combo therefore I sprinkled hints of red – shoes, bag, scarf, lips – to spice up and add color to the look.
Have a lovely day!
