The White House opened its garden to the public over the weekend for the 2014 Spring Garden Tour. On the tour guests were able to see the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, Rose Garden, South Lawn of the White House, and the White House Kitchen Garden. Tickets were free and distributed on a first come first serve basis starting at 9am. I convinced my lovely girlfriends to get up at 6am on a Saturday and line up at the Ellipse Visitor Pavilion at 8am. We got our tickets for the 10am entrance – yay! Got some coffee beforehand and then made our way to the White House. It was the perfect spring day to walk in the garden and see all the history and beautiful flowers and trees. It was such a lovely experience!
