Savannah has been on my travel list for ages, and I finally had the chance to experience this charming Southern city on a weekend girls’ trip! From stunning accommodations to delicious dining and picture-perfect strolls, every moment of our getaway was pure magic. Here’s everything we did on my first trip to Savannah.
Where We Stayed: Hotel Bardo
Our home for the weekend was Hotel Bardo, an absolute dream of a boutique hotel. The decor? Simply stunning—every corner felt like a perfectly curated piece of art. From plush furnishings to intricate design details, the ambiance was luxurious yet inviting. It’s no surprise that Hotel Bardo recently received a Michelin Stay Star, a well-deserved recognition for its impeccable service and aesthetic charm.
Where We Ate: A Culinary Tour of Savannah
Food was a major highlight of our trip, and Savannah did not disappoint. Here’s a rundown of all the incredible spots we tried:
- Brunch at Collins Quarter Forsyth – Located right next to the iconic Forsyth Park, this spot is a must for brunch lovers. The menu is packed with delicious options, and sipping a latte while overlooking the park was the perfect start to our day.
- Dinner at The Olde Pink House – A Savannah classic! The historic charm of this restaurant, combined with its elevated Southern cuisine, made for an unforgettable dining experience.
- Coffee at Mirabelle – This cozy café serves up incredible waffles and some of the best coffee in town. Plus, the charming exterior is an Instagram dream.
- Lunch & Drinks at Peregrin Rooftop – With stunning views of Savannah, Peregrin was the ideal spot for a midday break. A refreshing cocktail and light bites were exactly what we needed before more exploring.
- Dinner at Saint Bibiano – A new favorite! The ambiance was warm and intimate, and the food was nothing short of spectacular. So good, in fact, that we came back for brunch the next day!

What to Do: Exploring Savannah’s Charm
Beyond the food, we packed our days with quintessential Savannah experiences.
- Visit Chocolat by Adam Turoni – Chocolate lovers, take note! This chocolatier has two locations in Savannah, each with a unique theme. One is designed like a grand library, and the other resembles a dining room—both offering exquisite chocolates that are as beautiful as they are delicious.
- Stroll Through Forsyth Park – No trip to Savannah is complete without a walk through this gorgeous park. The iconic fountain, moss-draped oak trees, and lively atmosphere make it a must-visit.
- Tour Historic Mansions – Savannah’s rich history comes to life through its beautifully preserved mansions. We explored a few of these stunning homes, each with fascinating stories and impeccable architecture.
- Walk Down Jones Street – Often referred to as the prettiest street in America, Jones Street is pure Southern charm. The picturesque homes and cobblestone streets made it one of my favorite spots to wander.
