We are three weeks into the New Year and with that spirit I’m always trying to find ways to improve myself with the start of a new year. Today I’m sharing a few easy tips on how I jumpstart my workdays!
1. Plan Your Outfits for the Week || I’ve found planning my outfits ahead of time is extremely helpful and prevents me from being frantic in the morning. Usually on Sundays I plan my outfits for work for the entire week. I gather the entire look from top, bottom, accessories, shoes, hijab, and handbag. In my current closet I have a dedicated area to hang my pre-planned outfits however previously I invested in a inexpensive clothing rack to set a side my outfits. Dedicated a half hour on the weekend to plan my outfits for the week allows me to remain polished and dress sharp for work. It also allows me to get a few extra minutes of sleep in the morning!
2. Pack Your Work Bag || I have gotten into the habit of packing a lunch for work. It helps me stay healthy and save money! I’m not the meal prep for the week kind of gal but I do set aside my lunch for the next day the night before in order to avoid frantically running around in the morning trying to find something to eat. In addition I always have a water tumbler and coffee mug for the office. I prefer to make my own coffee at home (to save money) and keep my water tumbler at my desk to stay hydrated throughout the day. I have a dedicated work bag – my Senreve Maestra Bag – that allows me to pack all my things for work. I love my Senreve bag because it fits ALL my work items, including my laptop, I highly recommend the bag if you are looking for a solid work bag!
3. Get To Bed at a Reasonable Time || A full nights sleep is the most important thing for me! I have an alarm set on my phone to remind me to go to sleep on time. It’s not easy to just jump into bed therefore I’ve developed a sleep routine – wash my face, brush my teeth, put my PJs on – to get me ready for bed. It took me a few weeks to get into this habit but once it became natural I found that I’m more energized in the morning and I’m ready to start the day and avoid the snooze button.
