A few weeks ago we took a day trip to Luray Caverns in Shenandoah Valley for my sister’s birthday. Words and pictures don’t do justice for how magnificent and cool the caverns are. The caverns were discovered in 1878 and now is considered one of the National Natural Landmarks. There are guided tours thorough the caverns, about an hour long, that explain the history and uniqueness of the caverns. I would definitely put Luray Caverns on your summer bucket list for a day trip or a weekend getaway! It is a breathtaking place to visit!
