A Day In The Lalz

Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort

At the beginning of February I went on my first post-vaccine trip to Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort. This trip was originally planned for May 2020 however like many things in 2020 it was cancelled due to the pandemic. Once I became fully vaccinated mid-January I was eager to plan a getaway to warmer climate.

I am no stranger to Orlando, I have been to Disney World countless times, and the Four Seasons Resort has been on my bucket list of places to stay at in Orlando. I was extremely grateful for the opportunity to stay at the property given a media rate in exchange for my honest review of my stay. For the start I was extremely impressed with the safety and health measures in place at Four Seasons Resort Orlando. Travel has completely changed since the start of the pandemic and Four Seasons has taken initiative to collaborate with Johns Hopkins Medicine International to implant health and safety measures at all their properties around the world. Four Seasons Resort Orlando

Upon your arrival, you will walk through the gorgeous Four Seasons Resort lobby and an overhead thermal monitoring system will scan your temperature before you arrive to the Front Desk. For the safety of all, guests who have a fever (temp of 100.4 or higher) will not be permitted to go past the entry point.

Masks/facial coverings are be worn by our employees throughout the resort, and they are required to be worn by our guests, in accordance with the Orange County executive order regarding masks and with Four Seasons’ corporate policy.  Due to safety reasons, they are not permitted to be worn in the pools/water park area – it’s fine if you want to wear a mask while on the chaise lounges, for instance, just not in water. Masks are required to be worn indoors by everyone age 10 and above. During my stay I was thrilled to see that all the guests complied with wearing masks and social distancing. I want to point that any photos I took at the resort without a mask was when no one was around and very early in the morning – safety first!

Accommodations

We stayed in a Park View room with two queen beds, which is more than enough from for two adults and two kids. From the balcony you are able to see the Disney parks, including the Spaceship Earth at Epcot. Currently Magic Kingdom is not performing the nightly fireworks, however the beautiful sunset views from the balcony totally make up for it. For safety reasons housekeeping service will occur only when your room is vacant and through the Four Seasons app you are able to notify that the room is vacant. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcomed, especially with kids. After the first day housekeeping noticed that we had two little ones with us and graciously left a diaper genie in the bathroom for us, I can’t tell you how excited my sister was about this. The little things make all the difference.

The Spa

I love a spa day as much as the next gal. When living in Baltimore I visited the Four Seasons in Harbor East several times for a spa day therefore I was definitely looking forward to Spa visit in Orlando after spending time at the theme parks. One of the perks to staying at the Four Seasons is access to the spa facilities for guests. The spa at Four Seasons Orlando has several amazing treatment options for guest to enjoy.

Water Slides, Pools, and Lazy River

The best part of the property is all the amazing water activities. There is an adult only pool as well as a family area pool. As soon as we checked in to our room my nephew was begging to go to the pool, he is such a fish! I had to drag him out of the pool everyday. My favorite part is the lazy river, it’s extremely relaxing and very peaceful. We spent a lot of time in the pool and the kids very much enjoyed themselves in the splash zone.

Dining

Dining capacities have been reduced in order to practice reasonable social distancing, so it is highly recommended for you to make any resort dining reservations at your earliest convenience to receive your preferred times. Some of the restaurant operating hours have changed, such as Capa and Ravello are open on select nights, and the character breakfast is offered on Saturdays only. I highly recommend inquiring about restaurant availability directly with the reservations team – it can easily be done through the app – in order to secure reservations. I was able to make a reservation for the character breakfast through the team. My niece and nephew very much enjoyed seeing Mickey Mouse, Minnie, and Goofy!

Another convenient option is takeout from the restaurants or in-room dining option. Since the kids went to bed between 7-8pm, we preferred to get carryout from the restaurant and enjoy our meal on the balcony in peace! I highly recommend the pizza from Ravello and the steak at Capa – absolutely delicious!

The Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort is an absolutely gorgeous property with excellent service. The safety measures in place provided peace of mind to truly enjoy my time there with my family. As more individuals are becoming vaccinated, travel is slowly opening up, and families looking to getaway for a change of scenery, I highly recommend staying at this gorgeous property.

It goes without saying that I am already plotting my return back to Orlando. To see more of my trip to Orlando be sure to checkout my Orlando highlights on Instagram.
